Thank you ! - It's annoying to say the least because we saw this coming. Trump threatened the EU, attacked NATO, backed far-right movements & cozied up to Putin; all in his first term. But leaders ignored it, hoping he wouldn’t win again. Now he’s back, even worse, & Europe is scrambling to catch up

The initial lukewarm response to #Israel's actions in #Palestine was disheartening.

It's troubling to see justifications for actions that, by any humane standard, were excessive. The unconditional support from allies not only lacked moral guidance but emboldened further disproportionate responses.

This isn't just about one nation's decisions; it's a collective failure to uphold humanitarian principles. We must confront this reality & advocate for more ethical & balanced approaches.

As #BlackHistoryMonth UK concludes, one hopes, like other months dedicated to diverse communities, it's effectively highlighted contributions that have been overshadowed/downplayed by a predominantly Eurocentric narrative.

These themes shouldn't just fade into the background but should be integrated into our daily understanding of history.

All #history is world history. Incorporating this perspective consistently, leads to more understanding and meaningful change, moving beyond mere tokenism

Post-WWII #Britain invited colonial citizens to rebuild the nation, but met them with discrimination. "No Blacks, No Irish, No Dogs" signs & "Go back" jibes faced even UK-born children.
It developed a selective amnesia, often portraying the narrative as though only immigrants benefitted, using this skewed perception to justify stringent immigration policies.
The true essence of a nation lies not in closing its gates but in valuing those who've enriched it.

While DEI is advocated in the #workplace, its roots must also be firmly planted in #education. Deep-seated biases, often formed early, can become almost immutable if not addressed young.
Research shows exposure to diverse perspectives, not only shape attitudes, behaviors, & biases in adulthood but also foster more tolerant & open-minded attitudes when inclusivity is taught from a young age.

Africa's future mustn't become a pawn in global struggles. With #China 's deals often leading to debt & #Russia 's expanding presence in Africa (primarily thru arms sales & strategic alliances).

For #Africa to thrive, it's crucial to break free from the cycle of dependency and ensure that economic partnerships are balanced & equitable.

It must prioritise self-sufficiency & #Empowerment through control over its resources & promoting intra-African trade.

There's an uproar re. efforts to hinder #BlackHistory in the #US, claiming it's indoctrination for wte children.

Yet, Children of Colour have long faced indoctrination through whitewashed #history ,fostering feelings of inferiority.

All deserve a complete, unfiltered, unbiased education.

It's about more than Wte or Blk History —it's about an #education for all that equips, prepares & informs for the real world

This hypocrisy still exists in #sports today.
